Pirates in the 21st Century
There you go, the guest said it himself that people don't really care about Somalia's problems. Imagine if someone comes along and is able to establish a connection between the pirates and Al-Qaeda? The US will definitely beef-up its presence without any questions, UK will follow, and some other nations would too. The problem would escalate and become another theater where the West is fighting "terrorism." No one would still give a shit of why these pirates are forced to do this. For the pirates, it's a matter of living and dying in an environment where dying does not seem to be a worse alternative at all, sadly.
P.S.
